NOT A BAD FLICK - Caught the new Jean-Claude Van Damme movie last night, The Order. As a movie it's nothing to write home about, but it has some interesting scenery of Palestine in it, and we get to see Van Damme whupping up on some Israeli cops who are chasing him. Plus, one of the villains turns out to be a corrupt senior Israeli police officer. It's refreshing to see Israelis portrayed as bad guys for a change and not as heroic pioneers making the desert Blume and all that horse shit.

Another thing I noticed is that in The Order, the Jews are all played by Gentile actors, Ben Cross as the sleazy cop and some olive-skinned Greek girl as the slinky Israeli love interest for Van Damme. I noticed this as well about another one of my favorite films with a very strong sub rosa commentary on Jews, that great gangster flick Miller's Crossing. The repulsive hebe was played by John Turturro and the Jewish slut was played by Marcia Gay Harden, both Gentiles.
